We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to join our team. This role will support daily human resources operations including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance. The position will also serve as a backup for payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and continuity in payroll operations when needed.
The ideal candidate is organized, confidential, and comfortable handling multiple HR functions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
- Support recruitment efforts including job postings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews
- Manage onboarding and orientation for new hires
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation in compliance with company policies and labor laws
- Assist with benefits administration and employee inquiries
- Support employee relations and HR initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
- Assist with training, performance management, and HR projects
Payroll Backup
- Serve as backup for payroll processing and timekeeping systems
- Review timecards for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with payroll reports and audits
- Support payroll compliance and record keeping
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 2 years of HR experience preferred
- Experience with payroll or payroll systems is a plus
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
