Locally owned & operated excavating company seeking a highly experienced Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work & can troubleshoot problems independently. The right person for this position is someone we can trust to show up, figure it out, and get the job done.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience working on heavy equipment and diesel machinery
- Strong work ethic, honest & dependable
- Strong diagnostic & troubleshooting skills
- Able to prioritize jobs & manage time effectively
- Professional attitude and good communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- CDL is highly desirable but not required
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, & maintain heavy equipment in the field
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, diesel & mechanical systems
- Respond to equipment breakdowns & minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate service & repair records
