Job Description:
Position Overview: The Controller is a detail-oriented individual that oversees financial operations across our 3 locations. This role is ideal for someone with manufacturing accounting, leadership and analytical thinking skills. This individual will have a measurable impact on the organization and will embrace growth and continuous improvement.
Exempt, Salaried Position
Reports to: CEO
Direct Reports:
a. Administrative Assistant - 1 full-time, 1 part-time
b. Payroll/Accounting Assistant – 1 part-time
c. IT Manager
Position Responsibilities
· Oversee financial reporting and ensure accounting accuracy
· Maintain organized financial statements
· Provide budgeting, forecasting, margin/profitability analysis as well as cost management strategies to support overall strategic planning
· Manage daily, weekly and monthly accounting workflows
· Enhance financial processes to improve efficiency, accuracy and timeliness and make recommendations for improvements.
· Ensure financial and regulatory compliance, documentation control and audit readiness
· Maintain licensing, documentation, compliance and legal requirements
· Supervise and mentor staff
Position Qualifications
· Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles (GAAP preferred)
· BA/BS in Accounting, Business or related field.
· 3 years of relevant experience in an equivalent position
· Advanced skills in Excel and financial reporting tools required
· Advanced analytical and reconciliation skills
· Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability
· Proven leadership and communication skills and collaboration among teams
· CPA preferred
· Manufacturing accounting preferred
