Flexographic Press Operator

General Summary of Duties:

We are looking for either an experienced flexographic press operator or an apprentice who would like to learn how to operate a flexographic printing press. On the job training and instruction at the press will be given to an apprentice. The major role in this job is to efficiently and correctly manufacture pressure sensitive labels to the required specifications. The flexographic press operator role responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Operating the press by setting it up for running the job, including conducting any make-ready and clean up.
• Running each job according to all specifications set out in the job ticket.
• Accurately recording all materials used on each job.
• Completing a quality control checklist to ensure that each job is manufactured per proper specifications.
• Performing maintenance and minor repairs on the press as needed.

This position works 40 hours per week, 10 hours per day, Monday through Thursday, from 5 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. The position reports to the Factory Floor Manager/Lead Press Operator.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Must have a high school diploma.
• Must have a high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must have a strong mechanical aptitude. This is necessary in order to be able to operate a flexographic label press.
