HR Generalist
Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite)
Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Our nonprofit client is seeking an HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations and help create a positive employee experience. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented HR professional who enjoys balancing employee support, recruiting coordination, onboarding, compliance, and HR administration in a mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage employee records and maintain accurate HRIS data.
- Coordinate onboarding activities, including new hire orientations, I-9 processing, background checks, system access, and employment documentation.
- Support employee offboarding processes and equipment tracking.
- Assist with recruiting efforts by posting jobs, managing applicant tracking system workflows, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain compliance-related documentation.
- Provide administrative support across HR functions and employee programs.
- Participate in HR projects, process improvements, and cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications
- Associate degree and at least 2 years of HR, recruiting, or administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience supporting onboarding and recruitment processes.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
