Role Description
This is a full-time Environmental Technician position operating from Rochester, NY. The role involves conducting fieldwork related to environmental remediation, groundwater sampling, and subsurface soil investigations. Responsibilities include collecting soil, groundwater and vapor samples, assisting technicians and engineers with the operation, and maintenance of remediation systems, and collecting operating data from various systems. Effective communication and accurate reporting of field data and observations will be essential components of the day-to-day work. This position involves year round outdoor work and regular travel to project sites throughout New York State. Background and motor vehicle record check required.
Qualifications
- Construction, mechanical and/or outdoor work experience required
- Knowledge of sampling equipment and instrumentation used to collect samples and record data
- Strong Communication skills for effective reporting and team collaboration
- Ability to work independently in field settings
- Valid driver's license and available for travel to project sites throughout New York
- Preferred: Prior experience in environmental fieldwork or a related technical role
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related discipline
