The Onboarding & Compliance Specialist plays a key role in the successful integration of new hires into Matlen Silver and its client organizations. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the onboarding process, including the collection and processing of new hire documentation, facilitating in-person and remote onboarding sessions, maintaining employee files, and supporting the daily operations of the onboarding team. The Onboarding Specialist also contributes to ensuring compliance with client requirements.
Essential Functions:
● Collect, review, and process new hire documentation in accordance with Matlen Silver and
client-specific onboarding procedures.
● Initiate background checks and follow up to ensure timely completion.
● Work directly with candidates and new hires to complete onboarding tasks, either remotely
or in person.
● Manage the offboarding process for departing employees across Matlen Silver and client
platforms.
● Communicate with clients to align on start dates and onboarding progress.
● Assist with client audits by maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records.
● Provide support with immigration-related onboarding processes as needed.
● Offer backup coverage and workload support to teammates during time off or high-volume
periods.
Qualifications:
● Familiarity with Google Workspace (G Suite), applicant tracking systems (ATS), and/or
human resources information systems (HRIS).
● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
● Prior experience in onboarding, i9s, E-Verify or new hire processing is preferred.
● Basic knowledge of immigration and visa processes is a plus.
● Experience in the staffing industry is beneficial.
● Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
