Market Risk BA

Job Title: Market Risk BA
Duration: 18 months
Location: JC / NYC
Required Pay Scale: $65-$73/hour

Job Summary:

- Market risk knowledge (limits, interest rates, general business terminology)
- VaR analysis
- Investment reporting background (does not need someone with compliance / KYC reporting)
- STRONG SQL (will ask about queries, joins, tables; etc.)
- STRONG communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of Excel
- Mid-senior level


BA in reporting space with good data analytics skills:
 

• Work with business users, SMEs, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements, gather feedback, and ensure data quality.
• Gather data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and relevancy. Clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis. 
• Analyze data from various sources to identify trends and patterns. 
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Alteryx or other tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to visualize data and support business decision-making.
• Identify and resolve data-related issues and challenges.

• Collaborate with IT and other departments to troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate data projects. 
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audience.
• Provide ad-hoc data analysis and support to business functions as needed. 

• Proficiency in Alteryx, SQL, and other relevant data tools and technologies. 
• Python knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience and understanding of Enterprise Market Risk/ Finance systems would be beneficial & preferred.
