What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Designer position at Mathys+Potestio / The Creative Party®?
Graphic Designer
This is a full-time, direct-hire position based in Austin, TX, on a hybrid schedule (four days onsite, one day remote).
Summary
Our client is a financial services holding company supporting multiple wealth management and investment services brands under one umbrella. The marketing team is looking for a graphic designer to create effective digital and print deliverables across several distinct brands. This is an opportunity to expand a design toolkit and provide art direction across media and branding in a fast-paced, in-house environment.
Job Description
In this role, you will produce visual design solutions across brand design, logo design, digital and print collateral, forms, brochures, and layout/editorial projects, ensuring all materials adhere to each brand's standards.
You'll partner with marketing, business leaders, and stakeholders across multiple brands housed under one holding company to concept, design, and pitch creative work — including iconography, animated graphics, web/ad banners, interactive PDFs, and infographics. This includes editing headshots and manipulating photos as needed.
You will also serve as a liaison with outside printers and vendors to ensure materials are produced on time and at high quality, and will maintain strong digital asset library practices, including standard file-naming conventions, to keep design files organized and accessible across teams.
Our Ideal Candidate
5–7 years of professional design experience, with prior experience at a corporate/in-house organization
Comfortable working a standard 9–5 in-house design schedule and juggling needs across multiple brands
Strong foundation in branding, digital graphics, and look-and-feel/mood board development
Experience with event branding and multi-format creative execution
Proficient in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat); experience with XD a plus
Skilled at layout/editorial design, iconography creation, photo manipulation/headshot editing, and sourcing imagery to match brand tone
Skilled in digital asset management and file organization, including proper file packaging for print and archiving, and standard file-naming conventions
Able to create and modernize PowerPoint templates with graphics and animation
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities across a high-paced, multi-brand environment
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven, with strong communication skills for working with business leaders and stakeholders
Team-oriented, but able to work independently with minimal direction
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience
5–7 years of professional design experience; in-house/corporate experience preferred
Strong, diverse portfolio (print and digital) showing experience designing for a variety of brands and industries
Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat); XD experience a plus
Additional Requirements
This opportunity is located in Austin, TX and requires onsite work four days per week, with one remote day
This position is eligible for standard full-time employee benefits, including PTO, health and dental insurance, and 401(k), per the employer's benefits policy
