Duties
- Develop comprehensive curricula tailored to diverse learning needs, including topics such as algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, statistics, discrete math, and differential equations.
- Deliver engaging online instruction and classroom lessons that incorporate modern learning technology to enhance understanding and retention.
- Create customized lesson plans that align with educational standards and student goals, incorporating assessments and test preparation strategies.
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to support students struggling with specific concepts like organic chemistry, microbiology, genetics, or physiology knowledge.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively by implementing strong classroom management techniques and fostering an inclusive environment for students of all backgrounds.
- Track student progress through assessments and adapt teaching methods accordingly to maximize learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives and participate in ongoing professional development related to special education, early childhood education, preschool experience, or adult education.
Qualifications
- Proven teaching experience with teenagers and children across various age groups; prior classroom experience is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics subjects including algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, statistics, discrete math, and differential equations.
- Experience working with students in online instruction settings using various learning technologies.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate innovative teaching strategies and assessment tools.
- Excellent communication skills paired with computer proficiency for managing digital classrooms and educational software.
- Background in science tutoring such as biology (microbiology, genetics), chemistry (organic chemistry), biochemistry, chemical engineering or related fields is a plus.
- Familiarity with special education practices and working with students requiring additional support is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, teenagers, or adult learners in both educational settings or childcare environments.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques combined with patience and adaptability to meet diverse student needs.
