Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Agent to join our team. This role is crucial in providing exceptional service to our patients and ensuring the smooth operation of our front office. The candidate must have previous experience working in a dental office as a front desk associate. The experience should include: dental records management, patient service, and a solid understanding of dental terminology. You will be the first point of contact for patients, handling inquiries, scheduling appointments, and assisting with various administrative tasks. On the job training is available for certain aspects of employment.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and check them in for their appointments.
- Manage phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
- Manage new patient intake forms, insurance, entering their previous records and radiographs and take photo.
- Maintain accurate dental records and patient information using Eaglesoft software.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently.
- Process and log dental collections and handle billing inquiries with professionalism.
- Receive emails from other offices and input the information into the Practice Management System.
- Send Pre-determinations and help patient's estimate their insurance benefits.
- Manage referrals both by scheduling them at various specialty offices when patient's need and by entering the entering the reports from the specialty offices sent by email and patient web.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming at all times.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the office.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a front desk role or similar position within a dental setting is required.
- Proficiency in dental records management and understanding of dental terminology.
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft software is a plus but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations calmly and effectively.
- Excellent typing skills and proficiency in computerized systems for data entry.
- Knowledge of both Word and Excel
- Knowledge of Dental insurance and Coding
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
