What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bulk Fleet Mechanic - TOLEDO position at Matheson Tri-Gas?
MATHESON one of the nation's leading bulk suppliers of liquefied gases. MATHESON has over 300 locations and more than 4,500 employees in the U.S. Our Diesel Mechanics perform repairs and scheduled preventative maintenance in accordance with DOT standards on both our tractors and cryogenic trailers. Other duties will include maintaining shop parts, ordering and inventory control, tire repairs/changes, light vehicle electrical and some welding.
Position Summary:
$30-$35 per hour!
Maintaining and repairing fleet tractors & cryogenic tankers.
Diagnosing Mechanical problems & providing service & maintenance on tractors & trailers; as well as performing routine inspections.
Replace tires as needed & maintain accurate paperwork.
Flexible on shift; preference to one weekend day per week.
Some travel possible.
Experience & Education:
Position requires certification from a mechanic trade school or 2 years of related experience.
DOT air brake certification and annual federal vehicle inspection certification
Class A CDL with Hazmat/Tanker Endorsements is preferred but not required
Good knowledge of quality management systems, FDA Vol 40 and CMGP; experience in change management are a plus but not required
Strong Knowledge of DOT and Safety Regulations
Possess own hand tools
Hydraulic system background preferred
Cryogenic and /or hydraulic experience a plus.
Preferred diagnostic background to include Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Eaton Transmission and International Engines
Prefer welding expertise with aluminum and stainless to include TIG
Product line knowledge LIN/LOX/LAR preferred but not required
Computer literate.
