Role Overview
We’re seeking a seasoned executive with a strong background in Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) to join MathCo as a Partner in Customer Success. You’ll act as a strategic advisor and growth engine—working with senior stakeholders to define and implement data and AI strategies that enhance performance across commercial, operational, and customer channels.
As a Partner, you will:
- Own and deepen executive relationships with key retail and CPG clients.
- Lead high-impact programs across demand forecasting, pricing & promotion optimization, customer analytics, supply chain performance, and more.
- Be responsible for account strategy, solution design, and delivery outcomes with cross-functional and global teams.
- Serve as the lead connector between MathCo’s delivery, product and commercial teams, ensuring cohesive, end-to-end execution.
- Maintain a strong on-site presence, primarily in New Jersey or elsewhere on the East Coast, with flexibility to travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster deep, trust-based executive relationships across merchandising, supply chain, marketing, and analytics teams.
- Translate business challenges into AI- and analytics-powered roadmaps, then lead cross-workstream execution.
- Drive account growth by identifying whitespace, crafting proposals, and presenting innovative solutions aligned with client strategy.
- Guide and mentor cross-functional teams to ensure quality execution, client alignment, and ROI realization.
- Collaborate with MathCo’s India-based delivery organization to scale and industrialize solutions via our hybrid operating model.
- Contribute to internal development of CPG and retail industry playbooks, reusable assets, and go-to-market strategies.
Key Attributes & Experience
- 15 years in analytics, consulting, or strategy roles within the retail or consumer goods industry.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation programs in areas such as pricing, trade spend, customer segmentation, omnichannel optimization, or supply chain planning.
- Deep domain knowledge of retail/CPG business models, performance metrics, and seasonal dynamics.
- Strong technical fluency in data platforms, AI/ML, and cloud technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to grow client relationships, influence leadership, and deliver commercial impact.
- Experience in pre-sales, proposal development, and thought leadership within the AI/analytics domain.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, or related field required; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
