What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Areas Teacher/ Intervention position at Mater Academy Preparatory?
Mater Academy Preparatory is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time Special Areas Teacher to provide instruction in Physical Education, Art, and Music for our students. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching all three disciplines and a passion for fostering creativity, physical activity, and artistic expression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging lessons in Physical Education, Art, and Music
- Develop activities that promote teamwork, creativity, and physical fitness
- Provide a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to encourage growth
- Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the student learning experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Physical Education, Art, Music, or a related field
- Experience teaching Physical Education, Art, and Music to elementary or middle school students
- Certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for working with students and promoting their development in the arts and physical activities
Hours:
- 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM (part-time, hourly position)
Job Type: Part-time
