Position: Intervention Specialist
Job Summary:
We’re looking for a dedicated and empathetic Intervention Specialist to support students with diverse learning needs. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to academic excellence, emotional development, and creating inclusive spaces. As part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary team, you’ll help shape a positive, individualized learning experience for each student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized, engaging lesson plans aligned with students’ IEP goals
- Use specialized instructional strategies to meet a variety of learning styles and abilities
- Deliver direct instruction in core academic subjects and adaptive physical education as needed
- Partner with general education teachers to support inclusive classroom practices
- Collaborate with service providers (e.g., speech, occupational, and behavioral therapists)
- Track and evaluate student progress through ongoing assessments
- Maintain accurate documentation of student performance, behavior, and development
- Communicate consistently with families regarding student achievements and areas for growth
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to goal-setting and student evaluations
- Stay current on best practices through ongoing professional development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (required)
- Valid Intervention Specialist Certificates or eligibility to obtain one (preferred)
- Experience working with students with autism, developmental delays, or other exceptionalities (preferred)
- Familiarity with inclusive education models; Montessori experience is a plus
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Experience in private school settings or in delivering physical education is advantageous

Pay: $42.00 - $47.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
