Senior Network Architect (Onsite)
Location: Onsite – 5 days per week
Work Schedule: 100% Onsite
Clearance Requirement: Must be able to pass a CJIS background check
Contract Rate: Targeting ≤ $100/hr
We are seeking a Senior Network Architect to support the modernization of a large, legacy enterprise network environment. The organization is migrating from a 10 year-old infrastructure to a modern Cisco Software-Defined Access (SDA) architecture, leveraging Cisco DNA Center and Cisco ISE, with a Cisco ACI-based data center backbone.
This is a hands-on, architecture-focused role requiring deep experience in designing and implementing SDA solutions, with DNA Center and ISE as core strengths.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Cisco Software-Defined Access (SDA).
- Design, deploy, and optimize Cisco DNA Center for automation, assurance, and policy-based management.
- Architect and implement Cisco ISE for identity, access control, and network segmentation.
- Collaborate with data center teams supporting a Cisco ACI backbone (ACI is secondary).
- Drive migration from a legacy enterprise network to a modern SDA environment.
- Provide technical leadership, documentation, and best-practice guidance.
- Work in a fully onsite capacity.
Required Skills & Experience
- Senior-level experience (8 years preferred) in enterprise network architecture and design.
- Proven, hands-on architecture and implementation experience with:
- Cisco SDA
- Cisco DNA Center
- Cisco ISE
- Strong background in Cisco Catalyst campus networking.
- Experience integrating SDA with enterprise security and access policies.
- Ability to work onsite 5 days per week.
- Must be able to pass a CJIS background check.
Nice to Have (Lower Priority)
- Experience with Cisco ACI.
- Limited exposure to F5 and Infoblox (legacy; <5% focus).
