We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Lead Wedding Planner to elevate our event planning team. Duties
- Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of weddings, from initial consultation through post-event follow-up
- Manage event budgets, negotiate with vendors, and identify upselling opportunities to enhance client packages
- Develop comprehensive event timelines, floor plans, and vendor schedules to ensure seamless coordination
- Oversee vendor relationships including catering, entertainment, floral design, photography, and transportation
- Utilize event management software and CRM systems to track client interactions, preferences, and project milestones
- Implement targeted event marketing campaigns to attract new clients and promote our wedding services
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining clear communication with clients, addressing concerns promptly, and customizing experiences to meet individual needs
- Supervise a team of junior planners and support staff, fostering a collaborative environment focused on excellence in guest services and event management
- Conduct site visits, oversee setup and breakdown processes, and ensure all aspects of the event adhere to safety standards and quality expectations
- Engage in fundraising activities or community events that highlight our brand’s presence within the hospitality industry
Experience
- Proven experience in wedding or event planning within the hospitality industry or related fields
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale events with multiple stakeholders involved
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and event management software tools
- Excellent negotiation skills with vendors and clients to maximize value and satisfaction
- Experience managing event budgets effectively while identifying opportunities for upselling additional services
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently under tight deadlines
- Outstanding communication skills for client consultations, team leadership, and vendor negotiations
- Familiarity with CRM systems for tracking client data and project progress
- Knowledge of catering operations and guest services to enhance overall event experience
- Background in fundraising or community engagement initiatives is a plus
