Retail Sales Associate – MatchBox Candle Co.

MatchBox Candle Co. is looking for a friendly, dependable Retail Sales Associate to join our team in downtown Steamboat Springs.
We’re a locally loved candle company focused on creating a welcoming shop where customers can slow down, smell great candles, and leave with something they’re excited about. If you enjoy talking with people, keeping busy, and working in a positive environment, this could be a great fit.
What the Job Looks Like
- Greeting customers and helping them find scents they love
- Make candles for the shelves and wholesale accounts
- Teach Daily Candle Workshops
- Running the register and handling purchases
- Keeping the store clean, stocked, and organized
- Light merchandising and restocking products
- Opening or closing the shop depending on your shift
- Being part of a small, hardworking team
What We’re Looking For
- Someone friendly and outgoing who enjoys talking with people
- Retail or customer service experience is helpful, but not required
- Self-motivated and able to stay productive during slower moments
- Quick learner who pays attention to details
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to lift or move 50lbs
