This is a great opportunity to work with a locally owned company. Job Description:
- Operate a film slitter rewinder machine to cut and size film
- Operate a core cutter machine to cut cores to size (that the film will be wrapped around).
- Use a pallet jack to load large spool of film onto the machine
- Read shop floor job jackets with work instructions
- Use a tape measure to measure cores, to the 16th of an inch
- Use a box cutter as needed
- Perform basic math calculations including multiplication, division, adding, and subtracting
- Lift smaller spools of film
- Label roles of film
- Palletize and wrap roles of film
- Use a touch screen to input information into the machine (i.e. break tension, footage).
- Change rolls of film as needed, up to 2x per hour
- Operate a bailer to crush scrap plastic as needed
- May use a forklift to grab rolls of film out of the warehouse
- You must have experience running a slitter machine.
