What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Mechanic position at MasterTech?
MasterTech is on the search for an experienced Field Service Mechanic in the Orangeburg SC area.
The successful Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of a diverse line of diesel trucks and equipment. This is a Remote/Resident Field Mechanic opening, meaning service vehicles will be taken home and Mechanics will be dispatched remotely.
Compensation:
- $30.00 - $40.00/hour. Higher wages available based on experience.
- $1500.00 sign on bonus available.
- Field service vehicle, gas card, company cell phone.

Shift:
- Day shift, Monday to Friday. 7AM start time. Overtime available.
Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic (diesel trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, etc.).
- Experience working in the field.
- Able to work independently.
- Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Education from an accredited Technical School is preferred, not required.
- Valid driver's license in good standing required, CDL preferred.
- Able to pass pre-employment background checks.
- Has basic to full set of hand tools.
