About the Role:
Mastermind Care is seeking an experienced Substance Abuse Program Director to lead and run our licensed treatment center. This executive-level role requires independent decision-making, regulatory expertise, and the ability to ensure high-quality, client-centered care. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations and supervise clinical/admin staff
- Ensure compliance with DCF, FARR, Joint Commission
- Oversee clinical documentation, charts, and Utilization Review (UR)
- Collaborate with admissions on pre-admission screenings
- Assess clients for residential placement and mitigate concerns
- Communicate with medical staff and case management to ensure quality care
- Support therapeutic interventions and group facilitators
- Complete medical records requests
- Schedule vendors and manage behavioral health technician schedules
- Support business development initiatives
- Complete peer reviews
Requirements:
- Leadership experience in substance abuse or behavioral health facilities
- Knowledge of recovery models, trauma-informed care, HIPAA compliance
- Experience supporting group facilitators and behavioral health techs across multiple shifts
- Strong organizational, decision-making, and communication skills
- Experience with clinical documentation, audits, and UR
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Available by phone for emergencies outside standard hours
Preferred:
- Knowledge of ASAM criteria
- Background or education in mental health
