Job Description
This Warehouse Supervisor position is responsible for supervision of plant 3A warehouse associates and associated processes, supplier quality communication and chargebacks, and leading warehouse layout and process changes. This position reports directly to the Materials Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high standard of safety awareness.
- Provide leadership and support to floor associates assuring production goals are met
- Ensure deliveries from 3A warehouse to the factory are complete and on time.
- Manage any warehouse layout or process changes at 3A
- Supervise receiving inspection tasks based on sampling plans and supplier past performance
- Assure all supplier defective material returned from plant 3 to plant 3A is validated as true supplier defect
- Transact supplier defective material, both physically and electronically, to appropriate monthly supplier lot
- Communicate with MBCI sourcing/quality teams and suppliers to achieve maximum recovery of supplier defective material
- Participate in corrective action processing of supplier quality issues
- Assure cycle count completion and compliance goals are met
- Consistently demonstrate the 6 for Success: Be Trustworthy, Commit to Your Team, Listen to Understand, Serve Your Customer, Prepare and Plan, and Deliver Results
- Perform other duties as may be assigned at management’s discretion
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelors degree preferred
- 5 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledgeable about quality standards and specification preferred
- Experience with supplier quality systems preferred
- Software knowledge: Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required; Proficiency in Friedman systems preferred
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and function in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills – listening, verbal, written and presentation
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
