We are looking for a Receiving supervisor to join our team in Charlotte NC.

Schedule: 7am to finish Sunday-Friday

Job Purpose/Objective:

The Receiving Supervisor will run the day-to-day operations of the warehouse receiving department, primarily during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Sunday through Friday. The Receiving Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring that produce and dairy products are received and stored in the proper manner within the Keany Produce warehouse areas. This position is also responsible for directing and managing the warehouse, including oversight of quality control, inventory control, and proper GMP food safety handling.

Essential Job Functions:

• Ensures all deliveries meet or exceed company quality standards and that product is handled according to GMP standards / received and stored using consistent food safety regulations
• Supervise / motivate the Warehouse Receivers and Organize workflow within the Receiving Department.
• Train employees in proper forklift safety and operations.
• Ensure safe work practices within the Receiving Department
• Handle immediate disciplinary incidents within the department.
• Enforce Company policies and procedures.
• Document Worker’s Compensation incidents.
• Train new Warehouse Receivers.
• Provide proper warehouse and receiving documentation as needed.
• Assist Warehouse Operations Manager conducting performance reviews in a timely manner.
• Handle product discrepancies / shortages / other problems.
• Maintain a clean and properly stocked warehouse
• Perform other related duties as may be required.

Working Conditions/Job Environment

Degree of physical demands (strength) are usually associated with this position.

• Minimum lift requirement 50-60 lbs. on a regular basis
• Moving pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Frequent stooping and bending
• Working in 36 –40-degree (F) warehouse areas for 8-10 hours daily

• Education High School Diploma or equivalent industry experience
• Experience Two years of warehouse receiving experience. One year of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.
• Knowledge
• Thorough product knowledge, including acceptable substitutes and frequently ordered items
• Warehouse receiving and storage processes and procedures
• Knowledge of produce types and ability to make judgments on product quality
• Basic knowledge of inventory control and Microsoft Office software applications

Skills and Abilities

• Comfortable working in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment, and have good organizational skills.
• Must be a self-starter, assertive – decision maker, forward thinker, and problem solver.
• Able to drive a stand-up forklift and a sit-down forklift
• Able to lift and load cases on to warehouse shelves properly and safely
• Ability to read put-away reports and match with slot location and case product description
• Basic math. Very strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Associate or bachelor’s Degree

Experience: Three years of warehouse receiving experience. Two years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.

Knowledge

• Advanced knowledge of warehouse receiving and storage processes and procedures
• Advanced knowledge of produce types and ability to make judgments on product quality
• Advanced knowledge of inventory control and Microsoft Office Software applications

Skills and Abilities

• Flexibility and adaptable to change in work assignments and priorities. Very strong verbal and written communication skills in multiple languages – English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and various African dialects.

Licensure/Other

Forklift Operator’s License

Experience:

• Shipping & receiving: 3 years (Required)
• storage processes and procedures: 2 years (Required)
• Supervising: 1 year (Required)
