Receiver - PWP

Summary: To ensure quality customer service through the efficient operation of the warehouse/ receiving department by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•  Loads and unloads delivery vehicles to include operating forklifts, carrying merchandise and stocking in appropriate areas throughout the warehouse. Also assists with loading outbound trucks as needed.
•  Assist and Operates forklift to unload pallets and heavier materials.
•  Verifies quantities of deliveries and merchandise serial numbers by comparing merchandise to packing slips. Label all products with the proper receiving labels.
•  Visually inspects deliveries for damage and notifies management of discrepancies.
•  Always maintain a neat and orderly work area.
•  Completes appropriate paperwork for deliveries, entering and receiving P.O.’s (Purchase Orders) into the computer system and submitting them to management daily.
• Completes school orders to include obtaining appropriate material from storage in accordance with picking tickets.
•  Prepares shipments to include boxing materials, labeling with appropriate shipping information and completing appropriate paperwork.
• Communicates delivery problems to management promptly.
•  Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Sit Down Forklift Experience Required
• Computer Entry aptitude for inputting and receiving POs
• Prior work-related experience is helpful.
