Overview
Seeking an avid book reader who is passionate about sharing their love of reading with others, who has an eye for finding budding talent in both fiction and non-fiction. The idea candidate will be a writer as well as a reader, who is able to get others excited about and draw customers into our store.
Responsibilities
- Selects books and products to carry
- Monitors inventory and places orders as needed
- Writes a recurring article and book synopses for the bookstore newsletter and blog
- Helps plan and facilitate author events
- Organizes the book club and helps facilitate meetings
- Manages part-time employees
- Serves as a cashier and consultant as needed
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in English, Literature or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience working in a bookstore
- A background in customer service
- An avid reader
