Job Summary
Seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator / Architect to manage, design, implement, and support complex SAP landscapes across on-premises and cloud environments. The role requires expertise in SAP installations, upgrades, migrations, database administration, high availability architectures, performance optimization, and cloud operations with a strong focus on operational excellence and system reliability.
Experience: 8 Years in SAP Basis Administration, Architecture, and SAP Infrastructure Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation, upgrade, migration, and administration of SAP NetWeaver ABAP and Java-based systems including SAP S/4HANA, SAP PO, SAP Solution Manager, CPS, LVM, NW IDM, GRC, SAP BOBJ Data Services, and OpenText Archive Center.
- Administer and support SAP HANA Databases and HANA Cockpit, along with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Design, implement, and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery solutions using clustering technologies such as Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) and Pacemaker for SAP application and HANA database environments.
- Manage SAP Solution Manager functionalities including ChaRM, ITSM, EarlyWatch Alert (EWA) reporting, monitoring, and alert configuration.
- Perform system sizing, capacity planning, performance tuning, and architecture design for SAP and integrated third-party applications.
- Lead SAP landscape transformation activities including cloud migration, system refreshes, Unicode conversions, database migrations, and platform upgrades.
- Support SAP workloads hosted on Microsoft Azure, including provisioning, optimization, monitoring, and operational governance.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across SAP applications, middleware, operating systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, project stakeholders, and business users to ensure stable and efficient SAP operations.
- Participate in production support activities, including shift rotations, weekend support, and critical incident management.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in SAP Basis Administration and Architecture.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, NetWeaver ABAP/Java, PO, SolMan, GRC, IDM, BOBJ, and OpenText platforms.
- SAP HANA Administration and Performance Tuning.
- Oracle and MSSQL Database Administration.
- SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM, ITSM, Monitoring, EWA).
- Azure Cloud for SAP Workloads.
- High Availability and Clustering technologies (VCS, Pacemaker).
- SAP System Sizing, Landscape Design, and Capacity Planning.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and team-player mindset.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP migrations to Azure and cloud-native SAP architectures.
- SAP and Azure certifications.
- Exposure to automation, DevOps, and infrastructure-as-code practices for SAP landscapes.
- Industry experience needed?: Preferred
Education needed for the role: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, or a related field.
