MasTec Advanced Technologies is seeking a Broadband Installation Technician I to install, service, repair, and disconnect residential cable services, including video, internet/data, and telephone. This is a hands-on field position working with fiber-optic and coaxial cable systems, equipment, and network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, splice, connect, and terminate fiber-optic and coaxial cables in indoor and outdoor environments.
- Test completed installations and perform quality checks to ensure reliable fiber and coax connections.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair cable equipment and network infrastructure to help maintain uninterrupted service.
- Provide professional, customer-focused service while working at customer locations.
Compensation & Benefits

Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and safely work on ladders at elevated heights
- Ability and willingness to climb utility poles up to approximately 30 feet using gaffs, a climbing method involving a safety harness and climbing spikes attached to the boots
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screening
- Available to start by November 9, 2026
- Willing to attend paid training in Nitro, West Virginia
- Flexible schedule availability, including evenings and weekends
