Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Vice President for Finance, the general scope of the position will include but not be limited to:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly re‑forecast cycle.
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports.
- Lead initiatives for development and communication of KPIs across the organization.
- Lead DSO reporting and cash management processes.
- Produce data‑driven reports and executive‑level presentations.
- Coordinate standardized project financial summaries.
- Produce clear, data‑driven insights to support strategic decision‑
- Analyze budget‑to‑actual variances and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Partner with operations, project controls, and other cross-functional groups to improve financial performance.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting tools, and forecasting accuracy.
- Support financial systems and reporting enhancements to improve data integrity and efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; MBA, CPA, CMA or equivalent preferred.
- 7 years of experience ideally in construction or related industry
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
- When on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.
- Set a personal example of safe behavior.
- Proficiency in complex project accounting principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
- Strong knowledge of InEight or Vista Software / Oracle ERP systems.
- Organizational skills and ability to manage simultaneous tasks/assignments.
- Exceptional team building skills and ability to collaborate with groups throughout the company.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to comprehend complex assignments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
