MasTec Advanced Technologies is looking for dependable, detail‑oriented professionals to support high‑speed internet installations as Broadband Field Technicians. This position focuses on installing and maintaining internet services by setting up fiber or coaxial cabling, configuring customer equipment, verifying service performance, and addressing basic technical issues.
Technicians work in a mix of residential environments, both indoors and outdoors, using industry tools and ladders. Providing a positive and professional customer experience on every visit is a core part of this role. Your work helps ensure customers have their services installed and operating correctly the same day.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting hourly pay of $23 from the first day
- Four‑week paid training program covering safety practices, customer interaction, and technical fundamentals

Job Duties
- Install and secure fiber or coaxial cabling at customer locations
- Set up, test, and validate the performance of installed equipment
- Identify and correct basic connectivity or service issues
- Use ladders, hand tools, and power tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customers
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
Minimum Requirements
- Ability to lift 60–80 lbs
- Comfortable climbing 28–36 ft ladders
- Valid driver’s license
- Availability for evening and weekend schedules when required
- Willingness to travel to an approved training site (travel‑related costs covered if eligible)
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with fiber optic or coax installations, including FTTH projects
- Knowledge of splicing and termination processes
- Familiarity with fiber‑related tools and hardware
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in varying weather and job site conditions
