Job Description
The Opportunity
As the Head of Marketing Platform Strategy & Experience, you will operate at the intersection of marketing, technology, data, and experience design, translating Brand & Marketing priorities into scalable platform and digital experience solutions. You will define and drive the vision, strategy, roadmap and delivery for MarTech, content platforms, sales enablement platforms and GenAI-enabled capabilities to accelerate growth and improve marketer, wholesaler and financial advisor experiences. In this leadership role, you will serve as senior platform strategy leader and trusted partner to Enterprise Technology, shaping platform direction and ensuring delivery of measurable business value while leading and developing a team of marketing technology product portfolio, and operations leaders.
The Team
You will be part of the Marketing Analytics & Customer Insights leadership team, a Center of Excellence focused on turning data, technology, and customer insights into actionable decisions and exceptional experiences. Our team brings together analytics and market research leaders, marketing technology and portfolio managers who partner closely with Brand & Marketing, Distribution, Product, Enterprise Technology Experience (ETX) and external vendors. We’re motivated by simplifying how work gets done—making platforms easier to use, better connected, and more impactful. We operate in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment where strong relationships, clear prioritization, and continuous improvement are essential.
The Impact
Define and lead the end-to-end marketing platform strategy—aligning Brand & Marketing priorities with enterprise technology capabilities and roadmaps to deliver scalable, reusable solutions.
Serve as an executive leader for Martech ecosystems, shaping vision, roadmaps, business cases, and delivery plans in partnership with ETX, Data, Marketing leaders, and vendors.
Provide oversight of the marketing technology portfolio, ensuring investments deliver measurable marketing and business value.
Drive cross-channel digital experiences and recommend customer and advisor journeys that improve usability, adoption, and outcomes—especially for field advisor Martech.
Increase platform adoption and ROI through user education, enablement, and storytelling—helping teams understand how to use tools and data to solve business problems.
Refine governance, operating models, and processes to improve intake, prioritization, rollout, and ongoing optimization; stay current on best practices and influence the organization toward best-in-class solutions.
Lead and develop a team of marketing technology product managers, portfolio managers, and operations consultants, building strong partnerships across Marketing, Technology, Data, and implementation partners.
The Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of relevant experience in marketing technology (MarTech), digital platforms, or product/portfolio leadership.
7+ years of leadership experience, including leading and developing teams.
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale marketing technology, digital, or platform transformations from strategy through delivery.
Proven ability to translate business needs into platform requirements, use cases, and roadmaps in partnership with technology organizations.
Experience establishing governance, operating models, and processes to drive adoption and value realization for enterprise platforms.
The Ideal Qualifications
Forward-looking mindset with experience introducing, scaling, or operationalizing AI/GenAI capabilities within marketing or digital ecosystems.
Strong data-driven mentality with the ability to translate insights into action and influence decisions across a matrixed organization.
Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, including the ability to clearly articulate platform value, tradeoffs, and impact to senior stakeholders.
Outstanding relationship building and vendor-management skills; ability to bring people together and build trusted partnerships across the business and technology teams.
Inclusive, emotionally intelligent leadership style with a track record of developing talent and leading through change.
