Responsibilities: Conducts patient interviews and education via telephone before surgeries, collaborates with anesthesia teams, ensures completion of pre-surgical testing, and guides patients through pre-anesthetic evaluations. Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, supervises unlicensed staff, and maintains current nursing standards. Promotes quality improvement and safety outcomes, and integrates research into practice.
Qualifications & Skills: Current IL nursing license, graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred), BLS/CPR certification, minimum 5 years peri-anesthesia experience, proficiency in EPIC application, and strong collaboration skills.
Key Duties: Provides patient-centered care, communicates effectively with healthcare teams, adheres to organizational standards, and supports quality initiatives. No weekend or call responsibilities, with a part-time schedule of 20 hours weekly.
