Registered Nurse - New Graduate - Medical Surgical and Intensive Care Unit

Role Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatments using evidence-based practices, technology, and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and document therapy and treatment plans in compliance with regulations.
• Support a hybrid role supporting Med Surg and ICU units, maintaining Med Surg as home unit while gaining critical care experience through scheduled ICU shifts.
• Promote hospital mission, vision, and values, and adhere to service standards.
• Perform duties including patient assessment, medication administration, and equipment management.
• Float to other departments within scope as needed and may be on-call during shifts.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Current RN license in the practice state.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred. RNs with over 15 years of experience may complete a different licensing requirement timeline.
• Certification relevant to the unit is preferred.
• Minimum one year of nursing experience preferred; new grads considered with specific training programs.
• Strong communication, manual dexterity, physical stamina, and ability to lift and assist patients.
  
  

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Compliance with ongoing education and licensure requirements.
  
  

Benefits & Compensation: Eligible for benefits, with hourly pay ranging from $34.11 to $51.73 based on experience.

Work Environment: Dynamic 18-bed Med Surg/Swing Bed unit and a 5-bed ICU with 24/7 critical care coverage, including tele-critical care services.
