Role: Provides respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities: Performs therapeutic procedures, monitors and weans oxygen therapy and ventilation, analyzes arterial blood gases and EKGs, assists with airway management, educates patients and staff, and maintains clinical documentation.
Qualifications: An associate's degree, current state license as a Respiratory Therapist, and certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Must hold BLS certification; NRP for NICU-trained therapists; ACLS within 90 days of hire.
Skills & Abilities: Proficiency in computer data entry, strong communication and analytical skills, and interpersonal abilities.
Key Duties: Execute routine and advanced respiratory procedures, review patient information, ensure compliance with regulations, and stay current with technical knowledge.
Physical & Environmental Demands: Capable of exerting significant physical effort, working in environments with exposure to blood, body fluids, and potential communicable diseases, and adhering to safety protocols.
Must demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and a commitment to patient care and safety.
