What are the responsibilities and job description for the Per Diem Facilities Assistant position at Massachusetts General Hospital?
Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facilities department. Provides daily control over data input sources, report generation, and information/documentation control.

Essential Functions:
-Coordinates and controls all department correspondence.
-Inputs and updates the hospital's preventative maintenance program and issues all related work orders.
-Responsible for scheduling meetings and inspections for department staff members.
-Orders equipment and stock to adequately supply various shops such as electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
-Updates and maintains department policy and procedure manuals as required by the JCAHO, state, and local agencies.
-Reports equipment in need of repair, such as elevators, fire alarm systems, etc., to appropriate service companies and follow through with outstanding work orders.
