The Academic Affairs office is conveniently located on the second floor of Bowman Hall where we offer a comfortable work setting. We recognize that your top priority at MCLA is your academic success, so we create flexible work schedules for our work-study office assistants to allow them to balance their work, classes, and other extracurricular activities. We're looking for applicants with basic skills in Word and Excel and will be happy to train you in all the skills you need for this position.
The student office assistant will be responsible for greeting members of the campus community as they enter the office, assisting with various office tasks, answering phones and taking accurate messages.
Additional responsibilities include:
Creating and labeling folders to file
Room reservations
Assist with mailings
Purchase Orders
Photocopying
Scanning
Campus deliveries
Job Requirements:
Strong organization and attention to detail.
Proficient and or willing to learn MS Office Programs.
Strong interpersonal skills (written and oral communication skills).
Ability to multi-task, effectively use time management skills and take initiative.
Additional Information:
This position is open only to students currently enrolled at MCLA and who have been awarded federal work-study.
