Minimum Requirements
Effective: 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
Location: Transportation - Central, East and/or West - Kino & Broadway Area
Department website: http://www.tusd1.org/Departments/Transportation
Classification: - Blue Collar
FTE : 0.75 - 6 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.5 month
This position is open continuously. There are multiple training classes scheduled throughout the school year.
Work Calendar: 12 months / $17.00 per hour during the training period.
The position pays $22.18 per hour with CDL. Credit is given for experience up to $25.75 per hour.
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Minimum Requirements
- Five years previous driving experience required.
- Ability to demonstrate mechanical skills as needed.
- Valid Arizona Driver’s license
- MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
- Speak, Read and Write in English
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver’s License, Class B, and current Arizona School Bus Driver Certificate required within ten days of hire.
- CDL training is provided by the district during the first week of employment.
- Post-Offer/Pre-employment ADOT Medical Certificate with Lift Test required.
- Must submit to a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol screen
- CPR and First Aid Certification, certification must be maintained current during course of employment.
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
- Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department.
