Range: $26.50 - $31.00 per hour

- Family-friendly schedules ( School year, 5 hours per day)
- This is a full-time school-year position working 25 hours per week, with additional hours available for charter trips.
- Training available to obtain CDL license
- Learn on-the-job
Brief Job Duties
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
- Responsible for the safe transportation of students and staff from pickup locations to destinations.
- Maintains order and discipline in an effective and courteous manner among students being transported in accordance with district policies and procedures; reports any incidents involving student discipline.
- Ensures that a communication devices are in proper working order before each trip.
- Promptly reports all mechanical deficiencies, traffic violations, or accidents.
- Observes and tracks route timing, such as total time en route, time between stops, loading and unloading times, or any other requested information for the purpose of establishing route efficiency, as requested.
- Maintains and submits records and reports as required.
- Follows procedures to ensure that no child is left alone on a bus or van without adult supervision at any time, and that all children have departed bus at the end of all routes (morning, evening and during field trips or other special trips).
- Adapting instructional methods to fit individual student needs, including students with special needs
- Encouraging parental involvement in students' education.

- Motor Vehicle Operator's (DMV) License.
- Clean driving history
- Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes Fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education
