Requirements
Essential Duties
- Being a part of Cell and Process Engineering (CPE) team. The CPE team is responsible for supporting battery production to ensure our world-class production is running smoothly and without issue. In addition, we continually seek to improve our process by means of productivity, quality, cost, and other metrics.
- Devising battery cell manufacturing process improvement for mass production lines leading to increased production and better quality
- Defining and changing cell specifications
- Introducing new materials and cell technologies into mass production
- Conducting development work for new and existing production lines to improve cell process on safety, quality and productivity.
- Working closely with other team members to increase understanding of failure modes, performance and life expectancy of cell products.
- Demonstrating solid troubleshooting skills and ability to solve unknown problems.
- Analyzing operating procedures and functions of equipment and machinery to reduce time and cost of assembly manufacturing processes.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- The program will be a full time paid summer internship
- Must be able to attend the entirety of the internship

- Minimum 3.2 GPA
- Must have completed a minimum of 2 years at an accredited university
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B, O-1, TN, L-1, or other employment-based visas) following graduation. This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization.
- To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.
