Job Summary
- Responsible for specific research studies
- Performing complex established laboratory techniques (e.g.—Western blots, Immunohistochemistry, PCR, qRT-PCR, chromatin IP)
- Analysis of research data to troubleshoot experimental protocols
- Maintenance of human cancer cell lines
- Maintain tissue bank and research data bases Presenting pertinent information at weekly laboratory meetings
- Responsible for initial training/onboarding of new lab personnel
- Safety walkthrough
- Applicable lab protocols for research
- Responsible for general lab operations and coordination such as:
- Ordering general and specialty consumables and reagents
- Initiation and updating of biosafety registrations
- Procure necessary service agreements for lab equipment
- Generate Material Transfer Agreements between lab and outside institutions
- Overall responsibility of general lab equipment, training, and maintenance
