Job Summary

The Perianesthesia Assistant Nurse Director directs, plans, and coordinates service activities and staffing performance of professional nursing and auxiliary personnel to ensure high-quality patient care. This role may also provide direct patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the development, implementation, and evaluation of staff onboarding, training, and education
  • Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback for staff
  • Foster a positive work environment that is safe for patients, visitors, and staff
  • Coordinate unit activities with other hospital departments
  • Develop and implement staffing plans

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (required)
  • Master’s degree in nursing (required)
  • Relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree

Experience

  • 2–3 years of nursing experience (required)
  • 1–2 years of nursing leadership experience (preferred)
  • Current PACU experience (preferred)

Licenses & Certifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) – state license (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (preferred)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong commitment to clinical excellence
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Knowledge of care requirements across various patient age groups

Compensation

Pay Range: $118,435.20 – $172,234.40 annually
