JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for promoting the integrity of the Nutritional Services department while supervising employees in their daily job duties.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Is responsible for the proper closing of the Kitchens and Dining Rooms and ensures the operation is ready for the next day.
· Responsible for proper preparation, holding and handling of prepared foods for Acacia Village café. Insures proper billing, receipts and cash accounting in Acacia Village café.
· Places orders for food and supplies as directed by the Executive Chef.
· Assist in sanitation/ safety inspections with proper paperwork to verify the same.
· Checks for call ins and makes appropriate coverage by calling in people if necessary. Checks with Executive Chef with staffing problems.
· Assigns wait staff table assignments for each night, performs preservice walk through of dining room to ensure proper set up and performs preservice meeting in absence of Executive Chef
· Verifies/ tracks each guest coming into dining room for proper billing and seats them in next available section according to our reservation policy
· Monitors proper service and delivery of foods by wait staff in compliance with five star dining training during the dinner service by periodically walking through dining room and interacting with guest.
· Maintains bar. Keeps appropriate levels of stock and supplies as well as cleanliness and sanitation.
· Completes end of service checklist accounting for all residents and guests to verify proper billing
· Monitors and directs line chefs in proper closing procedures according to closing checklist.
· Monitors and directs wait staff in proper closing procedures according to closing checklist.
· Works closely with AV activities coordinator with food functions.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· One year of supervisory experience in a restaurant style environment.
· At least one year experience as a line chef in a high volume quality food service establishment.
· Experience with POS systems and how they function
· Excellent cash handling skills
· Good business skills and knowledge of consumer trends and patterns
· The ability to motivate others
· Good problem-solving skills
· Good organizational skills
· ServSafe certified or the ability to do so
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
