The Director of Masonic Home at Wiley Hall serves as the Administrator of Record for the licensed Adult Care Facility (ACF) and is responsible for the overall operation, regulatory compliance, quality of care, and administrative oversight of Wiley Hall. The Director ensures that residents receive high-quality care in accordance with New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) regulations, facility policies, and best practices in adult care services.
Leadership & Administration
Serve as the Administrator of Record for Masonic Home in accordance with NYSDOH Adult Care Facility regulations.
Provide overall leadership, strategic planning, and operational oversight for Masonic Home to ensure quality service delivery and regulatory compliance.
Develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure quality care, resident safety, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Maintain a stable and effective workforce by overseeing scheduling, approving time off, reviewing payroll, and ensuring ongoing training and performance management of staff.
Responsible for the facilitys operation 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including emergency response coordination.
Resident Care & Quality Assurance
Coordinate comprehensive programs for resident health, safety, and well-being, including oversight of health care services, emotional and psychosocial support, and interdisciplinary care planning.
Establish a compassionate and supportive environment by addressing residents emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs.
Evaluate prospective residents for admission and placement suitability; tour and consult with families to ensure proper onboarding and care transitions.
Maintain effective communication with residents, family members, and designated contacts to foster positive relationships and resolve concerns.
Lead the resolution of resident or family complaints through collaborative, team-based strategies.
Implement and monitor quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives actively using feedback, data, and trends to improve services.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including NYSDOH regulations for adult care facilities.
Lead preparation and participation in surveys, inspections, and audits and oversee the implementation of corrective action plans.
Maintain systems to ensure compliance with infection control, sanitation, fire safety, disaster preparedness, emergency response, and ergonomic safety standards.
Job Qualifications
Must meet NYSDOH qualifications to serve as the Administrator of a licensed Adult Care Facility including:
A High School diploma or equivalency certificate, plus five years of related work experience acceptable to the New York State Department of Health, two years of which includes related Supervisory experience, or
An Associate Degree from an accredited college or university in an approved course of study, plus three years of related work experience acceptable to the New York State Department of Health, two years of which includes related supervisory experience, or
A Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in an approved course of study, plus two years of related Supervisory experience acceptable to the New York State Department of Health.
Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (preferred).
Thorough knowledge of New York State Adult Care Facility regulations and operational standards.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage crisis situations, compliance events, and interdisciplinary teams effectively.
