What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child & Family Therapist position at Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation?
Under the supervision of the Behavioral Health Manager, the incumbent provides children and their families with the psychosocial interventions needed to overcome behavioral health issues. Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy or counseling psychology, with 3 years post-graduate experience in behavioral health. Must hold and maintain a Licensed Master Social Work, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy, or Licensed Professional Counselor. Registered Play Therapist preferred. Must have current CPR and First Aid Certification or must obtain within six months of hire. Must maintain a valid driver's license; must provide a yearly DMV Certified Driving History. Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy and handle confidential and sensitive matters is essential.
