Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and readiness for use
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, or portioning items under supervision
- Support food service operations by bussing tables and clearing dining areas efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, storage areas, and dining spaces in compliance with health and safety standards
- Aid in setting up catering or banquet events by preparing necessary supplies and ensuring smooth flow of service
- Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold hygiene standards and prevent contamination
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders and maintain a clean work environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, catering, or culinary environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and food handling safety protocols
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
