This position is responsible for the maintenance of all campus buildings and building systems, including HVAC operations, plumbing, electrical, lighting, carpentry, drywall repair, work order management, furniture moving, fleet vehicle maintenance, and large event support.

Responsibilities
- Maintenance: Respond to work requests from various sources and perform maintenance tasks related to light electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, drywall repair, door systems, painting, and ceiling tiles. Perform preventive maintenance inspections and tasks such as lubricating fittings, filter changes, and belt changes to ensure HVAC equipment reliability. Perform routine inspections of mechanical rooms and equipment. Assist third-party contractors with access and monitor their work for completeness of repairs or annual inspections/testing as requested.
- Furniture Moving: Move furniture as required for office moves, large events, and cleaning projects. Move large items from Central Receiving and deliver them to the intended campus department.
- Seasonal Duties:
- Winter: Shovel snow, spread ice-melt products, and maintain building entrances. Handle holiday decoration set-up and removal.
- Spring: Assist with set-up and break down of large tents.
- Summer: Perform maintenance repairs in student housing areas and prepare campus for the fall semester.
- Manage summer/winter seasonal switch from campus cooling to heating.
- On-Call: Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to urgent maintenance issues during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Fleet Vehicles: Perform maintenance checks on fleet vehicles, take vehicles for service as required, fuel vehicles, and maintain vehicle cleanliness.

- Required Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities
- Knowledge of building automation systems and controls
- Knowledge of electricity, especially multi-voltages and hazards
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Basic mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills
- Basic diagnostic skills (electrical, mechanical, and HVAC)
- Education
- High School diploma or GED required
- Technical or vocational education preferred
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
- Work with high voltage, high temperature water, and steam
- Work at varying heights ranging from 5’ to 40’
- Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged standing, climbing stairs, and ladders
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays for emergency or on-call needs
