Substance Use Disorder Counselor Hiring Full-Time Days or Evenings, includes Saturday or SundayDays, 7:30 am to 4 pm or Evenings, 12:30 pm to 9 pm$57,000 - $70,000/year, based on experience & licenseRequires a CADC, LCADC, LCSW, LPC, LAC, or LSW.Maryville Integrated Care, in partnership with the NJDOC, is hiring a Substance Use Counselor for South Woods State Prison in Bridgeton, NJ.The Substance Use Counselor, balancing compliance with empathetic, therapeutic care, delivers life-changing clinical services to participants enrolled in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment programs within a correctional facility by promoting recovery, personal growth, and successful reintegration.In this role, the Substance Use Counselor carries out the Mission of Maryville: helping individuals improve their health and wellness by providing high-quality integrated mental health, physical health, and substance use treatment, recovery support, and education.Essential Responsibilities:Guide SUD participants through assessments and designing personalized roadmaps to recovery.Facilitate powerful individual and group counseling sessions that foster personal growth.Coordinate vital case management to ensure smooth, successful reintegration into the community.Maintain high-standard documentation and uphold safety by aligning with Department of Corrections (DOC) regulations.Qualifications:Current NJ certification as an LCADC, LAC, LPC, LSW, LCSW, or CADC required or actively working towards certification.Minimum of 2 years of experience providing substance use counseling or related behavioral health services.Sobriety: If recovering, must have at least two (2) years of sobriety and must maintain sobriety throughout employment.Prefer: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Behavioral Health, or related field.Prefer: If recovering, must have at least two (2) years of sobriety and must maintain sobriety throughout employment.Prefer: Bilingual Spanish strongly.About Maryville Integrated Care:Maryville, recognized as a leader in the treatment of substance use and mental health disorders, is the longest-operating nonprofit substance use treatment agency in the State of New Jersey.
