Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, utilizing the OpenTable system when necessary.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials and dietary options.
- Deliver orders to tables in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy and presentation standards.
- Assist with bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area.
- Process payments using the cash register, handling transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly.
- Uphold health and safety standards in food handling and sanitation practices.
- Engage with guests to enhance their dining experience, providing assistance as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of culinary terms and menu items is advantageous.
- Experience with sales techniques to promote menu items effectively is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
