We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements while maintaining high standards of hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing a warm and friendly first impression.
- Manage the reservation system and maintain an organized waitlist to optimize seating efficiency.
- Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and providing information about daily specials.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, striving to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including the host stand and waiting area.
- Assist with special events or private dining arrangements as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, showcasing your familiarity with guest services and hospitality standards.
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus for efficient order processing.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with guests and team members.
- A background in customer service or hotel operations can enhance your ability to manage guest relations effectively.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure in a busy setting are vital for success in this role.
