Pay: $17–$20/hour (based on experience)

Mary’s Professional Pet Grooming is a busy, well-established grooming salon serving clients throughout the Phoenix metro area and beyond. What It’s Like Working Here

This is a fast-paced front desk role in a busy salon, but it is also structured and supported. You will not be guessing what to do or working in chaos. You’ll be part of a team where communication matters, expectations are clear, and everyone works together to keep the day running smoothly.

Most days are a steady flow of:

  • Greeting regular clients and their pets
  • Managing a consistent schedule of appointments
  • Answering calls and helping new and returning clients
  • Coordinating with groomers and bathers so the day stays on track

If you enjoy staying organized, interacting with people and pets, and being the “hub” of a busy team, this role fits well.

Position Summary

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and reliable Scheduling Coordinator / Receptionist to manage front desk operations, schedule appointments, support client communication, and help maintain a welcoming and professional front-of-house environment.

What You’ll Do

Client Experience & Scheduling:

  • Greet clients in person and over the phone in a professional, friendly manner
  • Manage scheduling through phone, email, and online inquiries
  • Book grooming and bathing appointments accurately and efficiently
  • Communicate schedule updates and special instructions to staff
  • Confirm appointments and follow up with clients as needed
  • Maintain accurate client records and process payments

Front Desk & Administrative Support:

  • Keep appointment books, client records, and payments organized
  • Assist with retail product organization and basic inventory tracking
  • Support daily operational flow and assist with reporting as needed
  • Coordinate with management on scheduling and staffing needs

Front-of-House Care:

  • Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming
  • Wipe down surfaces, tidy retail displays, and maintain presentation standards
  • Handle light cleaning throughout the front desk area as needed
  • Ensure clients always walk into a professional, well-kept space

Schedule

  • Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Must be reliable and consistent with attendance
  • Ability to stay engaged and responsive throughout the workday as scheduling needs shift

Employment Terms

  • All new hires are subject to a 90-day introductory period focused on training, performance, attendance, and overall fit within the team
  • Employment is at-will in accordance with Arizona law
