Mary Greeley Medical Center (MGMC) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Care and Sleep Manager to lead and coordinate services across inpatient respiratory care, diagnostics, pulmonary rehab, and neurodiagnostics. This leadership role is essential to ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and operational excellence across multiple cardiopulmonary service lines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and staffing for respiratory care, diagnostics (PFTs, Bronchs, EKGs), pulmonary rehab, EEG, and sleep services.
- Provide management and therapist call coverage as needed.
- Maintain Blood Gas Lab accreditation standards and quality control.
- Lead patient care conferences and discharge planning, including the Transition Care Program.
- Coordinate annual Skills Day and ongoing staff competency assessments.
- Train staff on new equipment and clinical initiatives.
- Collaborate with medical directors and department leadership on quality management and capital planning.
- Maintain accreditation for the Sleep Lab, including AASM site visits and reporting.
- Manage internal and external referrals and departmental work queues.
About the Role:
The Respiratory Care and Sleep Manager plays a critical role in ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and staff development across a diverse range of cardiopulmonary services. This position requires strong clinical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to foster collaboration across departments and disciplines.
Required Education, Licensure, Certification, Experience:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Iowa Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.
- Mandatory Reporter training within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience as an RRT.
Preferred Education, Licensure, Certification, Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care or related field.
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist.
- Sleep Disorder Specialist certification.
